Lock Up & Leave for a true blue Aussie pub crawl

We’ve got a bit of a departure (no pun intended) from our usual Lock Up and Leave fare this week.  Rather than sending you off to parts foreign, we’re buckling up for the ultimate pub crawl around the Scenic Rim in South-East Queensland.

Grab yourself a designated driver – “hey kid, for Christmas, mummy and daddy are going to let you get your driving hours up for your P plates” – and get away from the Gold Coast.

Eleven iconic pubs – all of then serving local beers and wines, most of them serving excellent food, some of them offering accommodation – await the intrepid imbibers and fearless foodies.

Look, these are not for the wine snobs and picky eaters.  These are dinki-di, rigidy-didge authentic Aussie pubs … with a touch of class. I sense a road trip coming on and you will find the itinerary HERE.

FYI: All joking aside, it’s probably an offence to be over the limit when you’re riding shotgun and Junior is driving on his or her Ls.  And snoozing in the back seat doesn’t count as supervising, either.

CHOOSY CRUISE: Around Japan in Cherry Blossom Time – discounts for singles, HERE.

REAL DEAL: Yasawa Resortand Spa, Fiji.  That’s HERE.
