Great Escapes: What’s on your bucket list?

What's the connection? Flat Chat's Sue is off to Kenya for a safari.

Do you have a bucket list of things you want to do and places you want to visit?  For those of you unfamiliar with its origins, a bucket list is your own personal menu of all the things you want to do – or places you want to visit – before you kick the bucket.

You might include modest ambitions like getting rid of your strata committee chair, stubbing out the smokers on the balcony below or selling your city flat and moving to the country.

But people most often relate it to travel and everybody has a different place they’d like to visit or revisit on their farewell world tour.  For me it would be Paris, Tuscany, Avignon, Saigon, Mexico City, Havana and New York – because I’ve been there and loved them.

Add in Buenos Aires, Berlin and Barcelona because I’ve always wanted to go but never made it.  If anyone can put that tour together, I’ll book my seat now.

Of course, none of those things might appeal to you but over on MildRover.com we are on the lookout for destinations that might be on many readers’ bucket lists. Japan, anyone? The Kimberley?  An African Safari? Taking the Orient Express from Paris to Venice?

Have a look here and let us know what’s on your bucket list and we’ll see if we can find a trip or a tour that would suit.
