We get so used to trying to deal with the problems in strata here at Flat Chat that we tend to lose sight of the fact that many if not most apartment residents are perfectly happy with their lot.
This week, one newcomer both to strata and Flat Chat describes how a little research, with the assistance of a professional, helped him find his way to a strata scheme that’s well managed and everyone gets on just fine.
You’re reminded of the quote from Basil Fawlty: “A happy customer … we should have him stuffed.”
But seriously, there are a lot of strata schemes that just get on with life, their strata managers do their work diligently, the strata committees listen as much as they talk and the developer fixes defects when they arise.
Meanwhile, property values soar in line with the blocks’ reputations for being great places to live.

The best way may be to click on “Forum: Your Qs & A’s” on the top menu bar or on the drop-down menu (three lines) on the screen on phones and tablets, under the Strata Choice ad. Then click on the topic title that interests you, and off you go.
Alternatively, you can click on the new “Latest Qs and As” Forum button on the top right of a computer screen or the link on the “hamburger” menu on a phone.
Or look at the list of “Your latest questions and answers” under the ads on the right of the page on a computer screen. Or at the bottom, after the ads and stories, on a tablet or phone.
finally, you can go “old school” and go to the Forum Home Page and work your way through the topics there.
